Prayer Warrior Mom by Marla Alupoaicei

As a mother of a little guy who is nearly 2.5 years old (and as someone who is also expecting a baby this summer!), I chose this book because I thought it could be incredibly helpful to me – both as a mom and as the primary person who is setting an example for my kiddos and their spiritual lives.  I want them to see that prayer is important – not just because I say it is, but because I live in a way that makes that obvious to them.

This book is divided into fifteen chapters, each focused on a specific way to “empower you to effectively intercede for your children” (quoted from the back cover).  This book is filled with prayers that you can personalize and adapt, Scripture references (on pages entitled “The Sword of the Spirit”), and each chapter has a page of small group discussion questions (this would really be a fantastic book for a small group to use!).  It has examples that are easy to relate to, real life stories, quotes from other authors, and more.  What a treasure box of practical information for every mom to use and apply to their own situations!

If you are looking for ways to spice up your prayer life, to make it more meaningful, and to really be able to pray and model a lifestyle of prayer to your children, this is definitely the ideal book for you.

I was given a free copy of this book by BookSneeze in exchange for an honest review.  The thoughts and opinions expressed here are completely my own.  I really did love the insight provided in this book and can’t wait to read it again!
