A Talent for Trouble by Jen Turano

This book was an absolute DELIGHT to read, and I had such a hard time putting it down!  Felicia Murdock has spent four years molding her life, trying to win the heart of her church pastor.  When he marries someone else (quite to her dismay!), she decides to give away all her clothing (that she had purchased in an attempt to impress the preacher) and start over with a new style, and a new attitude.  Her mother arranges for her to spend time with Grayson Sumner, to try to get her mind off the minister, but she had no idea how things would go the way she wanted, just in a very unexpected way!

In some ways the story was predictable (boy and girl thrown together, start out with no desire to like each other, and wind up falling in love), but the way they got there was completely not predictable at all.  I was hooked from the first page – the way you could read Felicia’s thoughts was very “Bridget Jones”, and you felt like you were best friends with her before finishing the first chapter.

I can’t wait to read another book by this author, because I am convinced it will be just as delightful!

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher, and asked to provide an honest review.  I was in no way required to write a positive review – the thoughts and opinions expressed here are completely my own.
